We’re thrilled to introduce Eve, our Senior Wedding Coordinator at Danby Castle Barn, who has been with us for over two years! Eve’s dedication to perfection and love for making every wedding unique makes her an invaluable asset to our team. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her beloved dog Buddy and her partner Harry. Read more about Eve below!
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my dog Buddy, he’s a big daft Golden Retriever. I’ve had him for over 5 years now, so I spend all my time mainly with him, oh and my partner Harry. We recently did a challenge to raise money for the stroke association in memory of my Dad and we have been going on a 30-minute run every day to complete this.
If you weren’t a wedding coordinator, what career would you be in?
I think I would be either a Zoo Keeper ( I have a BSc In Zoo management) or The Royal Navy, My dad was in the Navy, and I was in The Sea Cadets for 13 years.
If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Tough Question! I love a K-pop Girl band called Blackpink so it would have to be them!
How long have you been with the company and what attracted you to this role?
I’ve been with Gilchrist for over 2 years now, I was invited to join the Team at Danby a few months after The Gilchrist Collection had taken over. I loved the vibe, the staff and how Danby has this attitude to make every wedding different and special. I’m really annoying and love everything to look and be perfect so this role suits me.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Being part of the couples wedding day gives me a biggest satisfaction. To hear their wedding was everything they hoped for and we at Danby achieved that is just the best feeling!
What would be your go-to song to get the party started at a wedding reception?
Because I like K-pop everyone says I have the worst music taste so mine would kill the dancefloor and just have me on it haha
